Kim DeMotte,
President |
Kim DeMotte is the founder and president of
Power of
NO™, a
firm specializing in improving corporate sales and management effectiveness. He
works with companies developing strategies for saying "NO" when and where it is
appropriate.
Having started off adult life aiming to be an engineer like his
father, Kim soon gravitated toward human sciences and completed his Bachelors and
Masters degrees in Psychology.
|
Kim has managed the sales of intangibles, musical instruments,
aluminum products (yes, aluminum products), wholesale computer hardware, software and
consulting services. Hes owned and operated two distribution companies, one
manufacturing company, two service companies, one software company and one consulting
firm. His consulting experiences, since 1985, range from engagements with Fortune 100
AT&T to family owned Stelter Company, an Iowa publishing company.
The
Power of
NO™ is universal.
Kim and his wife, Margaret, are recent empty nesters (their two
daughters are in Portland, OR and Washington, DC). They reside with their two cats and two
dogs in a turn-of-the-century home (which is now in the seventeenth year of its five year
rehabilitation plan) in Webster Groves, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Like Kim,
it is a continual work in process.
Kim has been a life long motorsport enthusiast with a
career in Professional Rallying (at least until fatherhood captured him) and ten
years of navigating the coast-to-coast antique Great American Race in vehicles
raning from a 1912 American LaFrance Fire Truck to a 1913 Stutz Bearcat.. Now that the girls' cars are all out of the garage he is
co-driving on the SCCA National ProRally Circuit (www.mamotorsports.com)
and assembling a 30
year old vintage Datsun 510 PRO Rally car to campaign on the regional and
national rallies once again. With two out of the nest, Margaret has one to
go!
Kim brings an exciting perspective borne of a lifetime of diverse experiences
to the table. Expect to be challenged.
